Dr. Lazarus is a first generation Honduran American who has had a rich career journey navigating safety-net medical systems and building community engagement in the Southeast and Southwest United States.
She is a multifaceted board-certified Preventive Medicine specialist holding a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Meharry Medical College and Doctorate in Medicine (MD) from UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
As the community activator, she blends her medical knowledge, leadership acumen, and commitment to community service, exemplifying the transformative power of practicing what you preach in healthcare: mind, body, and spirit.

He is dedicated to disadvantaged communities and had done several projects in his native Haiti and for the Haitian community in the United States. He enjoys staying active with daily 20,000 step count goals, cycling, and dancing Kompa and Zouk.

Ms. Sylvia Blount brings a powerhouse combination of financial expertise and a heart for impact to our nonprofit’s Board as Treasurer. A Los Angeles native with Swiss heritage, she honed her discipline and competitive edge as an elite rower before steering her talents into the world of finance. Now the Director of Bardi Co. Investment Bank and a seasoned Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) advisor, Sylvia holds degrees from Columbia Business School and Loyola Marymount University.
Passionate about bridging corporate finance with purpose-driven initiatives, she has played a key role in shaping fundraising strategies that have benefited institutions like the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce. We are thrilled to have her championing our mission as we expand across the southern United States.
Beyond finance, Ms. Blount stays active with Pilates and finds joy in caring for her two tuxedo cats, who undoubtedly keep her on her toes!

Born and raised in Jamaica, his extensive military career and work as a private aviation contractor have taken him across the United States, but his heart remains rooted in his Caribbean heritage.
A dynamic force in the entertainment scene, Bowen has made it his mission to celebrate and preserve the rich traditions of Jamaican music and cuisine. As a DJ in New York CIty and the mastermind behind the Music City Jerk and Carnival Festivals, he has brought vibrant, high-energy cultural experiences to military towns and cities across Tennessee. His knack for creating unforgettable events has not only built successful businesses, but also fostered strong, connected communities.
Bowen is a devoted father to his two daughters, instilling in them the values of heritage and tradition.
